Title – Event Staff
Description – Ash & Elm Cider Co. is seeking part-time Event Staff to join our team for the upcoming event season. Events are off-site and center around neighborhood festivals, wine and beer festivals, nonprofit fundraisers, and more.
The best way to show off the great ciders we make and create loyal fans is by meeting people where they are. Attending events allows us to talk with customers face to face, help them understand who we are, why we make cider, and how our ciders stand out.
Ideal candidates will be true cider evangelists that are excited about sharing our ciders with others. Friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic personalities are ideal for this position.
Responsibilities
Be a positive representative of Ash & Elm Cider Co. to people both familiar with and new to our brand.
Treat all customers with excellent customer service.
Work to educate consumers on craft cider - how it is similar to and different from beer and wine; how we make our cider and source our ingredients.
Work to educate consumers on Ash & Elm Cider Co.’s history and our plans for the future.
Serve cider to customers as a sample, a full pour, or for carryout.
Assist with the preparation, set up, and breakdown of event equipment.
Learn the POS system and be able to handle cash and credit card transactions correctly.
Transport event materials from the cidery to the event location.
Additional Details and Requirements – The majority of our events occur on Saturdays; weekend availability is required for this position. Members of our Events Staff must be available to work a minimum of two shifts per month. All event staff must have or obtain an Indiana Server’s Permit before their first shift. A valid driver’s license is required. Some events will be outside of Indianapolis; a willingness to travel to other towns (primarily in central Indiana, though not exclusively) is preferred.
